Dr. Elliot Esch is a German‑American occultist, theologian, and electronic music producer whose life has been defined by an almost gravitational pull toward the edges of spiritual and artistic experience, moving fluidly through Unitarian Universalism, sedevacantist Catholicism, Western-Rite Eastern Orthodoxy, and a constellation of esoteric orders before ultimately founding Templum Superius Luciferi—a small, symbolically oriented fellowship born from his conviction that no existing religion could offer the precise combination of meaning, priesthood, ritual depth, and communal belonging that he and a circle of like‑minded seekers needed, and that abandoning those things entirely would be a kind of spiritual amputation he refused to accept; instead, he built TSL as a space where illumination, service, and mythic imagination could coexist without apology, all while maintaining a parallel creative life as Vysota, his alias in the world of dubstep, techno, and drum‑n‑bass, where he channels the same fascination with structure, symbolism, and ecstatic experience into dense, atmospheric tracks that mirror the intensity of his theological explorations and make him a rare figure who treats the dancefloor and the sanctuary as two expressions of the same search for transcendence.
